bomberbrown
I remember going to Preston Park in Brighton for 'Brighton Pride 'back in, I think, 2004 and there were fliers stuck all over the fence of a development with the sarcastic statement of: "JUST WHAT BRIGHTON NEEDS, MORE F@#KING LUXURY APARTMENTS!" Darkman
I can't advocate breaking the law, but some issues require people to make a stand, and be heard in whatever way possible. The lack of affordable housing has many many victims, and yet when are these people heard or represented in the media? Never. It's shocking. If someone has the guts to take a risk and shine a light on all this, then good for him/her. I've even thought of doing the same thing myself, and I have no criminal history I assure you. mbga9pgf
If true:How childish. This does no favors for the HPC website Agreed. All it shows is whoever did it doesnt have much between the ears. Look, either way, its happening. There is no point alienating us any more than we are going to be once this all starts to come down. This site is about to become one of the most reviled sites going; we dont need a thuggish chav image to go with it. posting flyers, yes, maybe, if you feel strongly about it, graffiti and wholesale damage of others property is a complete no-no in my book. All it shows is desperation and makes us look as if we are a bunch of dimwits.
Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Learning a thing or two about this kind of thing from us Welsh, or so it would seem! Very good - keep it up. Childish? Why? Ooohh, graffiti, how terrible - just off to get my blue rinse renewed. Bosh
Not in our name. My advise is not to use/Connect HPC.co.uk in such a radical and illegal way. We have in the past been passed off as a forum of loons and dismissed by many as scaremongerers, Our day is coming and I feel to be associated with juvenile acts such as vandalism does not serve our cause well. Just my oppinion
Azbola
Not really anything to do with this, but when I went to Manchester Uni in '93 there was graffiti all over the place that said; "Hulme homes for Hulme people" I think that they basically knocked down the whole area and rebuilt it. RichB
Its a setup. We are being prepped for the gulag - things like this in combination with the rampant racialist nationalist religiosist agents provocateur the gov/big business has planted here to make us look bad - especially in a sealed court, with only choice quotes revealed to a media and public baying for blood and someone to blame. symo
No it wasn't it was done by the Real HPC, loons the lot of em. Seriously though not good. I am sure no-one needs to be directed to the website via graffiti. Best to leave messages (if you must!!!) like, "house price crashes coming soon" or on new build developments "Free negative equity for 10 years included". Look how long it took for those "Free the Guildford Four" slogans to work. At that rate we'll be still sitting on the edge of our seats on MPC rate-setting day in 2034. What about a proper not wall-defacing banner? http://www.birmingham.gov.uk/Media?MEDIA_ID=127157 There are a couple of bridges over the M1 that would be ideal. Maximum exposure guaranteed. Another medium (even got a quote a while back) - discreet clear labels (ideal for EA's windows ...).
Zaranna
My favourite example was a couple of years ago. I was passing some advertising hoardings near the railway bridge in Cambridge and one was for a "looxury" newbuild property company with a big "Welcome to Cambridge" sign on it. Some pro-HPC wag had spray-painted "Can't buy a house? Welcome to Cambridge!" over the top. The property company had had it removed by the time I went past again a few days later though Edited February 25, 2008 by Zaranna
jimmy_joe
Well it should reduce the value of surrounding property already Not necessarily: I don't know who you are or how many of you there are but i am writing to ask you to stop painting your things where we live. In particular XXXXXX road in Hackney. My brother and me were born here and have lived here all our lives but these days so many yuppies and students are moving here neither of us can afford to buy a house where we grew up anymore. Your graffities are undoubtedly part of what makes these !ankers think our area is cool. You're obviously not from round here and after you've driven up the house prices youll probably just move on. Do us all a favour and go do your stuff somewhere else like Brixton.

cartimandua51
Lovely Boscombe doesn't need much help. Outside the beachfront developments it's full of DSS & druggies. There's a scandalous & libellous & of course totally untrue rumour that they were enticed down by the well-known philanthropic local landlord D*ve W*lls because he wanted to give them a nicer place to live than Salford, but if true, I'm sure he only had their best interests at heart.
