Blue Oyster Cult: Dont fear the reaper.....

All our times have come

Here but now they're gone

Renters don't fear the reaper

Nor do the bailiffs, chavs or the insane

We can be like they are

Come on landlord... Don't fear the Reaper

Landlord take my land... But don't fear the Reaper

We'll be able to rent... Don't fear the Reaper

Landlord I'm your pension...

Christmas is done

Spending free but now they're gone

Starbucks and Next

Are together in eternity...

Starbucks and Next

40,000 men and women everyday... Dead Like Romeo and Juliet

40,000 men and women everyday... Forced to Redefine happiness

Another 40,000 coming everyday...We can live where they are

Come on landlord... Don't fear the Reaper

Landlord take my land... Don't fear the Reaper

We'll be able to rent... Don't fear the Reaper

Landlord I'm your pension...

Love of two properties is done

Rich on paper but now they're gone

Came the last night of sadness

And it was clear this couldn't go on

Then the door was open and the crunch appeared

The candles blew then disappeared

The curtains flew then reality appeared

Papers saying don't be afraid

Come on gordon... they had no fear

And they ran to him... Then they started to cry

Gordon looked backward and said goodbye

he had become like they are

he had played his hand

he had become like they are

Come on people...don't fear the reaper

This wasn't released as a single in the UK until 1978, but it still did well.

I'll settle for a draw ;)

If BTL prices fall enough, then we might see LTB (Let to buy) where wannabe 1st time buyers renting a BTL find they can afford the value of the place. So they buy it off the loss-cutting landlord.
