Grant Bovey may be best known for his marriage to Anthea Turner, the television celebrity, but he is also a serial "entrepreneur". His latest company, Imagine Homes, is one of a number that have sprung up to cater for buy-to-let investors.
Imagine Homes says it has sold many of its flats off-plan. On its website, it suggests its complex at Rushgrove Gate, Woolwich, is "sold out".

In fact, Mr Bovey has sold the entire block to an investment company called Veritas, owned by . . . himself.

He has struck a deal to fill the "exciting new-look" property with council tenants, raising questions over how much private sector demand exists for such flats.

Perhaps he should rename his company "Imaginary Homes"? LOL!:lol::lol:

Ah yes, spiv marries NON celebrity with no talent whatsoever, and buys his own property to cover up the fact that he can't sell it. Great couple, so deserving of the d-list publicity they crave and wonderful role models for all their "fans".

Can't see why it could be illegal, as long as tax is above board.

Misrepresentation/Trade Descriptions Act. A court will find that any reasonable person when they see in marketing material that something is said to be completely 'sold-out', will assume that this means to unrelated third parties, not the developer himself in a transparent attempt to give the false impression that there is strong demand for his product.

In much the same way as somebody could record a record, buy all the records themselves, get to no.1 and proclaim themselves popstars and that they are the most popular things since sliced bread.

This has never happened has it????
