Oh And The Ftse Hasn't Collapsed

Recommended Posts

After all the daily monitoring of FTSE falls here and talk of a collapse it actually is heading back up towards its all time high.

Best put the plans for economic collapse of the system on ice.

Yes, great news isn't it. After all, this is a house price crash forum, not a stock market crash forum. And a bouyant FTSE will keep pressure on the MPC to maintain higher rates, which in turn will help drive the housing crash. Go, go FTSE!

Bring it on. I'm looking for a couple of UK BTL's after the crash. and a holiday home in Cumbria.

Yep it's all good. Even the banking side of my portfolio is back into the black now (dividends included at least). Until the next slump anyway...

Really, the non-stop black xxxday threads were starting to put me off visiting HPC. There's a strange mentality amongst people here that seems to want to pull down and destroy anything that they aren't invested in. Yeah alright, I'm guilty of wanting to see the housing market correct but tell me, what's the name of this site again? It's not like there are ever threads ramping stock market investment here, and the rare ones are kept in their rightful place, on the investment forums. We pays our money and takes our chances, and for that we are rewarded above the rate we'd get for leaving our money on deposit.

I find that the investment forums are a pleasant retreat from the foaming-at-the-mouth bearish-on-everything types on the main forum. Who on earth is a crashing of the UK stockmarkets, i.e. OUR ECONOMY going to benefit bar possibly the uber goldbugs and sterling shorters? With no disrespect to gold as an investment vehicle - I feel that precious metals have a certain place in everyone's stash.
