Who's The Biggest Counterfitting Gang Of Them All?

Recommended Posts

Stories about counterfitting always attract my interest because of course, the biggest counterfitters of all aren't little print shops tucked away under the arches, printing menus for Chinese restauranys during the day and banging out dodgy readies during the night!

No...The biggest counterfitters of all are our own government and the Bank of england!

I heard this on R5 last night and thought to myself:

"Arrest them? Not Likely. Put them to work for Britain!"

Good to see that although I forgot about it, someone else is thinking on the same lines. :)

Good way for the BoE to deny its involvement in inflating the money supply.

That's very amataurish. If I were forging I'd do a complete print run, say £50m worth in twenties (fifties get too much attention) but before putting a single note into circulation Then I'd destroy and dispose of all the equipment used before proceeding to the "laundry" side of the operation. If the cops came calling there'd be a lot of dodgy money but no proof I made it. Possession of a forged note is not an offence.
