Maybe not what your after but i overheard a guy today who said he'd bought a property in Spain, someone asked him if he'd be renting it out he said no. They asked him if he'd go there often and he mumbled something about going there once in a while and then beemed "its a great investment though, yeah great investment". Also said he to out a rather big re-mortgage to pay for it too. Wonder if he knew Spain is crashing.

:D

That's just... I dunno... I mean, _how_? Why? I can't even comprehend the 'fundamentals' that could possibly lead to something like that. I dunno - that coupled with the Tories suddenly deciding that anyone with less than £1,000,000 is no longer rich I wander why the people on normally salaries like mine don't just fecking kill themselves. This is just fscking insane.

I have posted the £85k Beach Hut. :D

Peanuts, my uncle has his old beach hut on Sale at hengistbury head for 145K - had a bit of interest from some London types. Problem is, with rising sea levels it will be under water in 10 years.

OK, couple for you.

Estate agent came round today to check the place we're renting over. I asked her how the market was and she said lots of deman on the renting front and she said how lucky we were to get in before it went mad (I smugly thought to myself 'no luck, all skill thanks' :P). She said nothing going on the sales side, mumbled about HIPS. And I live in a place where absolutely everyone thinks prices will never go down as it's very nice and all that.

Another one. Was talking to a friend who works for PWC or one of the consultancy firms at the weekend. Hadn't seen him for a while and I knew he'd started a new job a few months back. He was due in the US at the start of the job so I asked him how it went. He said it got cancelled due to the credit crunch. That was at least 2 months ago so if it was going on then there must be loads of other stuff getting cancelled left right and centre.

Oh, and I met this bloke in the pub and he said it's going to rain tomorrow. Sold me a very nice umbrella.
