I am much younger than the real Aunt Jess - my avatar. :P I owned my own house - sold in a falling market :( and moved across England to be nearer No. 1 son. ^_^ Waiting for the market to fall to less extortionate levels where I now live, so I can buy again.

Both parents dead over 20 years.

I'm in my mid thirties. STRed a couple of years ago and sitting on a huge wad. Planning on buying at least ten houses when they crash but as many as I can get my filthy hands on really. I'm then going to rent them out for obscene amounts of money to young people and never give them their deposits back.

My parents aren't in a home. My Dad was killed by a coconut thrown by an immigrant a couple of years ago. My mother rarely ventures out of the house now and spends all her time writing to the Daily Mail.

I am 33.Bought 1 bedroom flat in 1999 for £61,000 when lots of people told me not to. Sold on June 2007 for £168,500  when lots of people told me not to. Currently living at home with parents in a big empty 4 bedroom house. Planning to rent with girlfriend in the New Year when hopefully we will see MoM falls and everyone is shouting CRASH!

Plan to buy a 3 bedroom semi or terraced house with a mortgage that I can afford rather than go out and tie a noose round my neck for the next 25 years.

Thats if it goes where we all hope it to of course

31 years of age. Foolishly thought it would be a good thing to go and get that PhD ("hard" subject before you start).

Home ownership is a dream on a par with playing on the right wing for England (see I didn't say centre forward. I',m realistic ).

Got what would have been a reasonable deposit saved out of 37% of my take home for the last 10 years but it isn't enough :( in the present market.

Only myself to blame I guess.

[Edited for a wild exaggeration, sorry]

Old enough for a free bus pass. Don't consider my house (all bought and paid for early by NOT following the interest rate down from 14%, as a spell of unemployment wised me up to what a millstone a mortage can be) an investment. I need the roof, it keeps the rain off me, and I'm too lazy for moving now. Two sons in good jobs with no hope of home ownership until sanity returns.

Nope.

Financial services, City of London.

Renting one bed flat just for myself and my other half. We don't let anyone else to stay with us :P

Sorry to disappoint you.

If Poles bugger off, there will still be no doubt enought Brits left.

PS: Since you are such a nationalist, how about giving your spelling a bit more consideration. :P

No house but big deposit (2x GrossSalary in 6 years, hey I think being a frugal barsteward is worth boasting about)

Would love a house crash but not counting on it, in the short term deciding between working abroad or attempting a PHD.
