The Final Outcome For Northern Rock

Recommended Posts

Given the politics behind the formation of Northern Rock, the fact they guaranteed miners pay when they were on strike, they are stuanch Labour. I am guessing that they are going to go into liquidation very shortly.

I would suspect that their shares will be suspended, and the receiver called in. I would guess another bank will be prepared to take over the low risk debt, the Bank of England now run by Gordon Brown will step in and buy up the mortgage risk that is not saleable to anyone with a brain.

someone will buy it at 1p a share.

That should be about the time Casual Observer sells his shares.

you forgot to list sliced and diced and parts sold off to several companies.

someone will buy it at 1p a share.

At 1p a share it would cost about £3m for the whole company. Some hdge fund manager will buy it for a laugh just to say he owns it.
