Severe SM drop following shock "hold" decision from Ben. A bit of a recovery when he gets to the 50 basis point drop for the discount rate.

I am trying to place a bet for a hold with Betfair but cannot register my debit card as they ask for the "nickname" on the card--what the hell is a nickname? Never heard of such a thing in the context of a debit card. Very frustrating. Odds down to 19:3 from 8:1 on Frioday.

RB, the nickname is just the name they use to refer to your card so you can reuse it later. You can enter whatever you like.

It's like a name you can give it as a reminder, like "My Work's Amex", or "The birds Visa". So you know which bank account you're putting money into your betfair account from without having to look at the card number every time. Call it "Arthur".

My MoT.

Heh heh, thanks guys.

I just thought I'd try and avoid the inevitable "Black Tuesday" thread.

Although thinking about it, maybe we could call it "Black and white haired skunk-like man gets a right kicking Tuesday"?

Poor man.

Norther Rock transfer their Apache Webservers with Oracle Backend, to Windows 2003 Server IIS, and Microsoft SQL Server in the hope that it falls over every ten minutes whilst people fight to withdraw their money online.
