Whinging Pom House Seller

They are slowly driving us mad. It's getting to the point that instead of being pleased to have a viewing, we are cursing them!!

Why don't they read the details?! Yes our third bedroom is small but if you'd read the details properly you'd know that and we wouldn't have wasted both of our time! We've had 16 viewings so far, one sale has fallen through, we have two other offers, but both have houses to sell. It's a wonder anyone ever manages to move house!

Lots of stories of "cheeky" offers and incomplete chains here.

This is just pure filth, property porn?

From today's Courier Mail - average house price in Brisbane is now $434,000, with only five suburbs (out of 115) with a median price of $300k or under. So it's no longer a really cheap place to buy a house (despite some claims you might read on here that you can buy a five bed mansion with pool for $300k ).

The growth in Brisbane has been phenomental (typo but thought it was rather fitting!) - it's literally transforming before our very eyes - it's an exciting time to be here.

I hate that expression - as if offering 5-10% less then the grossly inflated, obscenely greedy asking price is cheeky !!

Quite. If you can have an insulting offer, surely you can have an insulting asking price.
