Bear Stearns

Recommended Posts

Trying to find a link to substantiate this but Bear Stern's attempt to file bankruptcy on a couple of hedge funds in the Caymans has been thrown out of Court.

Where did you hear this?

If true it would be interesting to read the courts decision.

He continued a temporary ban on such suits, telling the funds they could liquidate or reorganize in the U.S., winning an automatic ban on such suits.

I think this means that Bear Stearns got the ban they wanted anyway, just not on the grounds that they were foreign.

Here it is. apologies the original sub title wasn't particularly clear.

Like the graphic. Rageboy is getting around.

The story is being updated so it might change in the details.

Cheers I'm digesting it now!

Yeah he is certainly getting his 15 minutes. Click on the link... that's gotta hurt!

Edit: So it's the US Judge who is not limiting the window of actions in the US on the basis of the action in the Caymans. Makes sense if most of the assets/liabilities were in the US. So what will the next move be I wonder?
