Can people quote from the story / link ? I sometimes look at HPC from my phone so don't want to go off looking at other sites so I just have to ignore posts like this.

As it happens this links doesn't work anyway so the whole post is a mystery.

Presumably this rescue money is largely made up of the "cheap loans" made available by the ECB over the last week or so.

Wouldnt make sense for these banks to suddenly be able to pull wads out their ass when we are supposedly in a liquidity crisis.

A group of German state banks said on Friday they would rescue a local German lender that had been hit by U.S. subprime mortgage difficulties.

SachsenLB has become the second German bank to run into serious trouble after difficulties which began with unpaid U.S. home loans buckled global credit markets.

Sachsen LB please, not Sachen.

I thought this post was about some trendy German online bank (Sachen = 'things'; Sachsen = Saxony).
