markinspain
No one seems to have mentioned water. So I´ll add that to the list. Also, I think an axe would be quite useful - very versatile - a 'shining' example of a worthy tool!
Justice
It's not a bad list at all. Mine list includes Rice, Pasta, Sugar, Salt, Tin Food 240c 1200w generator + spare car battery Some generic antibiotics 1200ltr diesel next i'm after a small wind turbine, CB radio, sward, knife and air rifle. Think i will have trouble with water purification tablets and don't know where to get them from. Boy how many candles would i need to last 2 years but you can bet i'll have a lot of friends when it all goes down as in the land of the dark the man with the candels is king EDIT No one seems to have mentioned water. ScaredEitherWay
Well, I've drawn up my list, not got round to finding what I need though. Si1
Think i will have trouble with water purification tablets and don't know where to get them from. ebay or a good outdoors or army and navy shop - tend to be drops these days: https://www.cotswoldoutdoor.com/webpoint/we...FUSEACTION=main http://www.ronniesunshines.com/product_inf...products_id=643 or, of course, try boiling it I think this is paranoia. we're not talking about a war here. Boy how many candles would i need to last 2 years but you can bet i'll have a lot of friends when it all goes down as in the land of the dark the man with the candels is king Tincture of iodine or potassium permanganate crystals are fine for water purification. Although a very small number people who take in high amounts of iodine for a long time become hyperthyroid - bit manic and twitchy. 2 drops of tincture of iodine per litre is usually enough, leave it for 30 minutes to kill everything. Can get rid of the taste with a little bit of a vitamin C tablet.

Ahem - seeds for sprouting! The distribution system for fresh produce may be impaired so grow your own fresh veg. - a useful source of vitamins and enzymes. So alfalfa seeds, mung beans etc.

Fore warned is fore armed as they say Looks like quakermass to me or have i got that wrong, i was young at the time so not sure. many americans are so stupid thats they are paying a forture for food reserves that is just a mix of dry food but cost-a-fortune price. i know that bread mix goes of fast but how long can you store flour for if it's kept dry. 2 drops of tincture of iodine per litre is usually enough, leave it for 30 minutes to kill everything. Can get rid of the taste with a little bit of a vitamin C tablet. Thanks for the help. my misses recomended vitamin tablets but i'm not so sure. Only 60bn wiped off shares today and that just about 10% of the tax we pay the UK goverment each year and they say that we will not be getting a pension well too hell with them why should i pay for the boom they created. So alfalfa seeds, mung beans etc. I'd add 1000 teabags to the OP's list - half of it green tea for higher antioxidant content. How could any of us hope to survive without our daily cuppa? And I'd also add various vitamin and mineral supplements, tinned salmon, dried lentils and chickpeas, and a few bottles of linseed oil for omega-3. Plus 100 litres of gin.
