Busy Season For Estate Agents

Recommended Posts

Thought I'd start off a new thread, inspired by the depressing autumnal weather (even though its still August). Reading through a good number of the estate agent threads it seems the housing market is dead at the moment. When does the so called peak season end, suppost to get started around Easter. Will the autumn / winter slow down be the trigger for falls ?

I believe the peak season ended when schools broke up for Summer. Kicks off again in September when people back and want to move before Christmas.

I'd always assumed it was "good going" all the way through the summer, but what you say makes alot of sense. Summer holidays less people around etc. Given most of the for sale signs I drive past on the way to work don't seemed to have changed in months I'll be surprise if the rightmove and halifax reports continue to show increases at the end of August
