Deutsche Bank has hired Alan Greenspan, the 81-year-old former chairman of the Federal Reserve, as a senior adviser to its investment banking division.

Many analysts hold Dr Greenspan responsible for today's credit crunch

The timing of the move is somewhat ironic given that many in the financial community have pointed the finger of blame for the current market woes at Dr Greenspan.

What on earth next, Gordon Brown as prime minister when he has bankrupt the Labour Party and resorted to Cash for Peerages to keep it afloat.

If someone cannot manage something as trivial as a political party, they will not make much headway managing the economy of a nation no matter how many times they pick their nose a day.
