Interesting. Specialised in stocks/economy news website marketwatch give a bit different title for today's Asian news:

Asia volatile as concerns linger over credit markets

HONG KONG (MarketWatch) -- Most Asian indexes advanced in a volatile trading session Monday as investors remained concerned over the health of global credit markets. Japanese shares gained on automakers such as Honda Motor Co. and Nissan Motor Co., while Chinese shares rose sharply to set an intraday record.

The DOW will be up, possibly significantly today, it has been very obliging of late which is why we have not had a classic crash yet. and there is too much focused on it to do anything else. The market are so much better behaved than they used to be 20 years ago. It may even have a good week but I think the last couple of weeks was the start of a bear market.
