Croatian Property As An Investment

Recommended Posts

If you look at what has happened in Bulgaria and Romania as it headed towards EU membership, you would perhaps think that Croatia will follow suit. Some writers say property prices will climb 100% - 150% in the next 3-5 years.

What are your views??

Prices in Croatia have already climbed the 100%-150%.

I hope so! ive recently bought an apartment in stella maris court umag. I think prices have peaked and will level off for a few years until Croatia enters EU. Even then it will be a slow rise now but continous and steady for 10 -15 years. Only guesswork of course. Anything could happen. Istria is beautiful, so even with worst case scenario, i would be happy to spend lots of time there.

I looked around Dubrovnic 4 years ago but everyone told me prices had quadrupled since the end of hostilities (97 I think) so I felt I was too late. Not a great place for year round rental on the whole.

I did the same and came up with the same conclusion. I was amazed at how short the season was. Anyway I had two great holidays - my favourite places were Dubrovnik and the island of Korcula.
