As you may or may not know Mrs B is currently 'working' in one of the local EAs. Has been complaining that its been very quiet - getting bored playing mine-sweeper on the computer all day. Suddenly, this week, things have changed. She says they have become really quite busy. Not with people wanting to buy but with people who have sold or want to sell and then rent. STR, it seems, is back in fashion. Could soak up a little of the glut of rental properties for a while I guess.

Thing is are there enough buyers on the books to soak up this flotsam?

Re: increase in requests for STRs - this is people offloading before their introductory rates expire. They may have to pay an early repayment fee, but that's better than seeing the monthly payments jump 40%.
