Does This Count As Harassment?

Recommended Posts

I've just read that if a landlord offers you money to leave their property this is harassment. My landlord has offered me a rent free period if i vacate the property by a certain date.

Does this equate to the same thing and if so is this harassment?

thoughts appreciated

thanks.

James.

I don't have a contract. Yes i've been offered a rent free period to vacate by a certain date. Not trying to squeeze more money. I don't want to leave.

Why do you want to know? Have you been offered the money? Do you want to go? Or are you trying to squeeze more out of them? I am a bit puzzled.

No that is not harassment, he's just offering you a deal. If he tries to force you to accept it, that might be different.

james,

If you've been there 4 months or more he can just serve you with an S21 giving you 2 months to leave. Bearing this in mind, talk to him and feel him out, it might be a good deal.
