'superior' Properties

Evidently some twit at Countrywide has told the drones that all properties on the books have to be described as 'superior' regardless of whether a property is deserving of such an adjective.

I can't begin to imagine the mindset of an individual who dreams up such a wheeze, their relationship to English must be tenuous at best, but I'd like to nominate the following as least deserving of the description 'superior':

Any other examples welcome

Love it....

"Mann Countrywide are proud to present for sale this 'Superior' Plot of land with potential for development. It is located in the popular area of Chandlers Ford. In our opinion it has good access to shops and amenities and Chandlers Ford Train Station."

With superior dirt, worms, weeds and old Tesco trolleys :)

What cretins?

Frank

I just rang them & asked why the land is "superior", she replied "it's not, the 'superior' bit is a service we offer, it means it's advertised twice that's all.

it was a midly amusing conversation to hear her pause, then pause again.

I am very bored today at work. ;)

edit - really, really bored:

bored

And here's another one: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/viewdetails-149...=9&tr_t=buy

Perfectly ordinary mobile with nice little garden - lots of similar ones at similar prices - but this one's, wait for it, 'Superior'.

Personally, I wouldn't even instruct this bunch of tw @ts to sell my property - if they can't write two sentences describing a property without being reduced to inane drivel you're bound to question what else they're going to screw up.

No, surely with a big skip, a good trim & edge and a tent from Millets; you could be as happy as a sandboy...

PS - Who are Sandboys and why are they so sodding happy?

They are experts at building huge castles made out of sand to live in; they`re so happy `cos it`s free. The only downside is that with global warming, beaches may well become a thing of the past :P

I only feel happy as a sandboy when everything's right as a trivet!
