Freaky Friday 15th June

Recommended Posts

It's quadruple/triple witching day this Friday (15th June). I'm no market expert, so I don't know whether this carries much significance other than a brief period of volatile trading. Given this week's bond yield rises and stock market jitters, would anyone like to predict what Friday will bring to the markets?

I'm hoping for the perfect storm (financial I mean - wouldn't wish a hurricaine on anyone) to bring about the house price crash. In the meantime, I'm steering clear of shares!

Add to that the US inflation data out on 14 (PPI) and 15 (CPI) June - which will potentially confirm the bond direction.... - oh and housing next week..... Could all be very interesting.....

The world financial markets will trigger the HPC.....that is for sure.

"They" say to sell in May and buy Bonfire day... or something like that. Shares tend to lose value after May (don't know why).

"Sell in May and go away, don't come back until St Leger's Day."

St Leger's here refers to the horse race held on the 2nd Saturday in September, not directly to the saint's feast day.
