HOUSE prices jumped by more than £2,500 in April –
£85 a day
– as the property boom appeared to gain strength again.
The cost of an average home is now almost £210,000 despite four interest rate rises and a pre­dicted slowdown in the market.
Properties are going up by 11.3 per cent a year – up from 10.9 per cent in March – the Depart­ment of Communities and Local Govern­ment said yesterday.

As far as the Daily Excess are concerned its up up up and up! But--are the public still buying the hype?

the data is 3/4 months old- ie before IR were raised

and read this quote:

As far as the Daily Excess are concerned its up up up and up! But--are the public still buying the hype?

In my experience, sentiment is changing. People I speak to in everyday life are becoming aware that housing is overpriced and due a correction.

I think the Express’s editorial team is simply amazed that house prices keep deifying logic; it must strike a note with many potential readers and boost their sales.

The higher they rise (beyond sustainable levels) the lower they will fall…
