bear call spread
Speaking to a friend yesterday he was talking how every penny he has counts to pay the morgage. He can't afford to stop working find another job or move. Well he clearly overstretched himself then - not a good idea
Ipodjunky
Well he clearly overstretched himself then - not a good idea Yeah, I've spoken to two people this week who have realised owning at all costs is game over in terms of standard of living on a median wage. The other guy wished he'd rented a house rather than buying a pokey flat. He also thought it was unlikely he could sell it and recoup his investment due to the fact other flats in the place are still empty. I will either buy a house when prices drop if they don't I will go abroad as luckily I have a lot of family scattered around the globe. apom
There are plenty of houses, it's just BTLers have bought them all. There are hundreds of thousands of empty houses, we just need to force the owners to let us use them! The best plan would be to remove the tax breaks for buy-to-let landlords. Why not, instead of taxing the people who work, we tax the people who own all the land? If they actually owned the damn land.. They don't, they have massive amounts of debt that our rents don't cover... All good there then.
