To grow economies elsewhere they first had to destroy ours.

Our place in the new world order? Depends where you are in the pecking order, for many it will be a hell of a lot worse than before.

Don't believe in conspiracies, don't believe in coincidences either.

Try working out the odds of having a multiple-bomb terrorist attack on the Tube network on the same day that an actual attack occurs!

Quite high, if the reason for the bomb exercise was that someone in MI5 (or wherever) had heard rumors of plans for such an attack.

Well, that raises even more issues.

What sort of democracy do we live in that a prime minister comes in unelected. Even if he was elected our system is so corrupt that only a minority vote for the winning party. What choice do we have just another Blair dressed as a conservative.

We don't vote in or elect prime ministers. we vote for Governments (allegedly).

John Major came in inelected (replacing Margeret Thatcher). So did Jim Callaghan (replacing Harold Wilson) in the late 70's, Sir Alec Douglas Home on the early sixties (replacing Harold Macmillan) and indeed Macmillan has stepped in to replace the ailing Anthony Eden.

I have no issue with Brown taking over as I can't think of a better PM for the housing market to buckle under. In fact its essential, that if its going to crash, it crashes during Brown's regime, but don't underestimate the ability of the VI's can keep the current Ponzi scheme going for much longer.
