Haart: London Is Levelling Off

Recommended Posts

House prices in the Capital barely moved during May, says haart…

With buyers' bank balances straining at the seams, the relief of just a 0.1 per cent price increase in Britain's most expensive market may feel long overdue.
But as haart's monthly report indicates, there has been a noticeable
levelling off
in London house prices, the average creeping up to £264,801 from April's figure of £264,636.
This offered some temporary respite for buyers struggling against the Capital's massive price growth, enabling them to achieve
up to three per cent off the asking price,
a record amount for 2007.

All nightmares eventually come to an end. With London now slowing it seems that they will fall in line with the other regions now reporting declines. The 2nd Q of this year has certainly marked quite a sharp turnaround in HPI.
