Anyone Have Any Sympathy For These Flat Owners

Recommended Posts

"Where a permanent neighbour is acting anti-socially, someone can contact the environmental health department and it has a range of powers to rectify the problems.

"But when you have people staying for just one or two nights, it's difficult to take enforcement action."

What utter crap!

When your dog sh1ts in the street and you fail to clean it up, who gets the fine or goes up in court? The dog or the owner?

aside from the main gist of the story, it also shows some of the lengths people are going to try and get some revenue from their emtpy city centre new-build.

personally i have no sympathy for the residents, some of us cant even afford a home

what an awful, shameless culture we have engineered in the UK. :(

Er, I do! Not only have they had the misfortune to buy a city centre apartment in one of the biggest bubbles in history (and are doubtless paying through the nose for it) but they can't even enjoy peace and quiet at home. How is that not something that induces some sympathy??

If it was BTL investors being screwed over by this you'd have a point. But it isn't. People buying a place to live aren't the enemy.

In one case it was claimed a flat was even rented by a porn film crew.

Now that's what I call enterprising.

Hope they booked a decent sized flat otherwise they'd have had to fit a wideangle lens in order to cover all the "action".

Shoebox porn. That's going to be one of the cool buzz words of the next ten years (and you heard it here first).

I spoke to someone recently who had lived in Liverpool city centre flat for 2 weeks and is now trying to rent it out, he would not say where other than a flagship development.

Problem? 24 hr devils dandruff fuelled , and probably paid for, partying. Mad scallls in TT,s raging round car parks lifts going day and night.

I thought they would be occupied by thousands of young proffesionals and retired architects attracted by the high wages in our booming economy, silly me.
