Also an interesting quote from Hazel Blears on that website:

Last night in Croydon, Hazel called for more homes to be built. She said ‘Housing is as big an issue today as it was in 1945. Our housing market is madness. If you’re on the ladder you’re doing fine. If you’re a first-time buyer, it’s near impossible. If you want to live near your parents, you can’t afford it. We need a national effort to build more affordable homes’.

There is a saying that goes with this picture, does anyone know what it is.

There was a point to putting up 'Nero' as a candidate. They learnt a lesson, now forgotton. He was the last hereditary power of that epoch. He created prosperity and was indeed popular, untill Rome burned.

Loads of references.

Is only one.

Democracy.

When any individual gets near power. They should first be judged by thier peers. If anyone of them has a dought about them, they should not get anywhere near little red button.

The Guardian reported on a poll where (we're told) Ken Clarke was less popular than Brown ( a ridiculous notion). Then when Cameron appeared on the scene the same poll was taken again and the Guardian reported that Cameron was more popular than Brown even though none of us had ever heard of him at the time. Now the papers are all laying into Brown with revelations about his time as a student when he suggested free-loading at hotels and taking a bag full of bricks to bring your own bottle parties. Similarly, Bliar's photo was revealed showing his gesture even though the papers which had published that photo many years before must have known.

It's obvious that Cameron will eventually become PM.

Ever wondered why the elections concentrate on the "swing" of votes and not the absolute number of votes each party has achieved?

I see most have voted for Coco because no one believes he will resign next month.
