Bradford & Bingley Tv Ad.

Recommended Posts

Caught a bit of the Bradford & Bingley advert, "pushing" mortgages. There was an emphasis on BTL mortgages, with the tag line "a nice little earner". Should be more like "a nice money burner"

I detest that blasted advert!!!

The ‘nice little earner’ quip really bothers me. Talk about blatant exploitation of the more stupid members of society!

the female model they use on the ads more than makes up for it

...but not enough to make me blow a load (on a mortgage)...

Another one that makes me a danger to my television, is the Picture Loan ad. Just like the B&B ad, they suggest that borrowing a fairly large amount of money (is £25K ok ?, silly cow) is such an easy thing to do.

"A nice little earner". That`s the first time I`d seen that ad, and already it`s getting me riled as much as the Picture one. The loan ad that makes me laff is the bloke on the huge sit-on lawner mower, if you`ve seen it, you`ll know what I`m talking about !

the B&B poster ads are even worse - they talk about getting someone else to pay your mortgage for you

I need to know the location of these posters in the Midlands area, to avoid a serious road traffic accident.

I wonder what tenants think when they see that ad ? Right, that`s it, I would have settled for 8% IRs, now I want to see at least 10%, and a "special" tax of 60% on any capital gains made by landlords.

I think the "nice little earner" tag is from the B&B's perspective, as they will be packaging the debt up in a MBS and selling it back to the pension fund that the mug punters are also invested in. <_<
