A Note Of Caution

Recommended Posts

sadly, as it is little other than an advertising freesheet, there is no link - but I found this piece to be quite striking.

"The Wharf" is a weekly rag circulated in Docklands - renowned for its thin veneer of crappy news barely papering over a few bits of property ramping and huge gluts of EA adverts. The same thing that happens all over the country, only infused with ultraramp to really drive home the wonder of these new gleaming tower blocks in London's hot and happening district (actually, its a bit like the surface of the Death Star).

Only today, there's a fairly lengthy (for them) article entitled "lend it some thought" with some pretty bearish and thorough analysis of just how dodgy BTL lending really is at the moment. A few VI quotes tossed in at the end for the hard of thinking, but overall, a marker of some sentiment change in an area which was previouslya real hotbed.

:)

Could not have described it better. I just get about a few pages in see the flat/house prices and just throw away in disgust. This area is ultra bull IMO so this might shock the odd one or two.

Anyway I'll pick up me copy tonight to have a read.

Page 22 mate. It's not exactly earth-shattering stuff for the average HPC acolyte, but it's pretty mind-blowing for the average Docklands BTLer, I'd say. Enjoy!
