Casey Serin: The World's Most Hated Blogger?

Recommended Posts

Financial exhibitionism, coupled with a lack of penitence for stiffing his creditors, has transformed the 24-year-old resident of this sleepy Sacramento suburb into a celebrity among fellow bloggers. But unlike other online celebrities, Serin's stardom comes from a unique source: "haters" who patronize his blog solely to learn what financial missteps he's made today.

Does anybody know anything about why iamfacingforclosure.com is down at the moment?

Probably weight of traffic. It's the top story on CNET, which is a very popular site (you might want to look up "Slashdot effect" as well ;) )

He's lost all the houses now. He just has the debt.

And the wife has said "enough is enough". A morality tale for our get-rich-quick times.

Trump is also a bankrupt, his mentoring obviously works!

nb. Sunday only!

lets hope so

this trump company was the one wanting to build a huge golfing resort in aberdeenshire, a $billion dollar enterprise that would have destroyed a nice pleasant bit of coastline.

im no nimby but this was a enviromental disaster in the making

lets hope this is the end of it

Not to mention the >70mph winds!

Trump didn't like the nearby wind turbines either.

Interesting to read on the (supposed) reasons:

He noted that casinos in both Las Vegas and Atlantic City have been undercut by the growth of gaming operations on Native American reservations and the weaker economy.

...

Last month, when his hotel-casino business reported a $17.6 million second-quarter loss, Trump blamed it on high gas prices and "other inflationary pressures" that have left his customers with less money to gamble at the beginning of the summer season.

Interesting to read on the (supposed) reasons:

Can I interest you in some 0.900 silver Piastres De Commerce Indochine 27G from 1925?

(Now I've polished off the top layer of silver electroplating they look a bit goldish in colour. I have a sneaking suspicion they're actually real gold cunningly disguised by the Vietnamese)

The latest post is a work of pure genius:

Foreclosure and non foreclosure opportunities available to me:

This is the stuff I’ve had brewing over the last 8-9 months. Most of these came as a direct result from my foreclosure experience and blogging about it.

* Website/blog development and consulting - $50/hour+

* Continue monetizing this foreclosure blog with advertising, sponsorships and affiliate commissions: $1,000-3,000/mo

* Review foreclosure related services and products: $250-500 per review

* Help people stop foreclosure by offering and/or referring consulting, loss mitigation, short sale assistance, buying their house, etc: $ varies

* Recruit for real estate investing college and make 50% commission: typically $8,000 per sale

* Create and sell book(s) and info products around my foreclosure story: $ varies

* Work as an account executive with a commercial capital / brokerage firm on big deals 10 million and up: $50,000+ commissions/fees per deal

* Invest in private equity funds and high-return real estate developments/deals: 24-60%+ returns

* More: almost-guaranteed roulette strategy: $100-500/session

That’s a lot of great opportunities. I may or may not do them all. Part of the challenge is going to be focusing on the right opportunities and managing my time ruthlessly.

Roulette and private equity funds! Brilliant!
