Pub: The Shakespeare's Head, Holborn

Date: Sunday 10th December

Time: 5.30pm onwards

The pub will be at JD Wetherspoon's The Shakespeare's Head, Holborn, London. The nearest Tube is Holborn.

I will be there from 5.30pm

I shall take some sticky labels for name badges. There will also be a sign up saying HPC (the letters) so you can't miss us.

This is right next to the Holborn tube

Hopefully Dr Bubb will be joining us before he goes to Hong Kong

The pub has great reviews:

"Utter filth. Rude and aggressive bar staff and very bad beer. "

"Service certainly is "hit and miss", in particular further drinks are sold to people who are quite obviously pissed already. Visited this place on Saturday to see if any improvement had taken place in the last year: I need not have bothered. Spacious, and with good disabled access by the side door or the back door, but the clientele remain the main problem - what the Americans call a bridge and tunnel crowd."

Can someone take some photos at the meeting and put them up?

I'll try to come (expect to be there)

I've mailed/posted many to highlight. Can everyone please do so also.

Bravo Under Pressure for arranging - we should all buy her a drink!

I know there are others coming. Could everyone respond here to confirm?

cheers

IT'S A WEATHERSPOON! What did you expect? Same as the one we recently went to and that was perfectly fine - with actually good food and great value.

Distance: 593.8 miles

Time: 11 hr 52 min

actually its a lot more than 12 hours, as the first 200 miles of road is basically single track or through the mountains.

I do however go to the north of england occasionally and if anyone is organising a meet anywhere north of manchester, i will definetly come.

have fun guys
