Dated Predictions On Homepage...

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

Just a bit worried about the HPC homepage.

A lot of the predictions on there are very old, and most of the latest predictions are for a rise in house prices! Not exactly the greatest introduction to a site trying to point out there'll probably be a crash!? Most of the predictions of a crash are 2-3 years old!

Isn't there anyone predicting a crash out there!? Especially with the US market at bursting point, surely ours will react to this?

Really think these should be looked at!

Not just being fussy, just worried about the first impression this will have on new visitors!! ;)

Look who is making the predictions of increases and who is predicting decreases.

And what do all those predicting increases have in common?

When it comes to markets I would prefer to listen to the likes of Invesco Perpetual, Capital Economics, The Economist etc.

Their timing may be off but it is extremely difficult to call a market top (or bottom).

The alternative is like a double glazing company telling you you need new windows.

In fact, it's good news for bears here, because it means that one by one the professional bears have been turning bull. And we all know what that means....

...prices are increasing?

You can stick my prediction on the front page

Prices will continue going up – interest rates will remain low – house prices won’t crash

I don’t think there are many people left out there that actually predict a crash anymore – maybe it’s time to replace that part of the homepage with something else
