Local Paper Property Supplement Spinning ?

Recommended Posts

The mainstream press is often touted as being part of Crash Gordon's conspiracy to support the UK economy. By routinely presenting the positive aspects of property market news rather than reporting cold hard facts however depressing they may be .

Whether this is true - who can say ?

An alleged supplementary aspect of media property spinning is contained within the property pages of local newspapers, these days often a separate pull-out containing property market news, comment and anaysis. The contention that these pages only ever spread good news and articles ramping property is widely held.

Whether this is true also - who knows ?

Let's have a look at one local paper's property supplement over the last twelve months, a simple note of headlines - drawing no conclusions either way.

So - a year of Wrexham Property headlines, less a couple of weeks when my paper did not contain a property supplement - or non-delivery. No sampling to highlight particular slants - just a few missing weeks at random.

Will now collect the next twelve months copies and update this thread appropriately next September - should be an interesting year.
