It has Laminate flooring in the lounge, so what's the problem. :P

"Woodplumpton is a village north of Preston, Lancashire.

The quaint and happy village of Woodplumpton is best known as the birth place of Roy Walker. It is the political centre of the fylde. It is a popular holiday destination for Welsh and Croatian holiday makers. It has many great night-spots and is famous for a small herd of bison. Whittle Hill is the financial heart of East north Woodplumpton and is known for its Swiss bank."

I don't know which is grimmer, the "house" or the price.

Have they struck oil in Woodplumpton?

I'll get shot down for saying this, but I rather like it. It seriously needs tidying up though. Modern houses only look right when they are immaculate. The interior needs doing all modern too. There's no point having a house like that if the interior is going to be typical design-ignorant mediocraty.

Bulltraderpt and BingleyBloke --- Unfortunately this is not an art deco modern house. I use to travel past it on my way to school many years ago. Its at least 30 years years old and i think it was a council house. Its made of concrete blocks with some dodgy white rendering on the outside. The photographer made it look as best he could, no doubt tried to hide the extrenal pipes which are difficult to see on the picture, also done their best to hide the aerial.

The most hideous thing about this house is its setting in a small village with typical brick houses. You can see a few of the surrounding houses out of the windows on the interior shots.

This very old church is within 250 meters of the place http://home.cfl.rr.com/stannes/

I'll keep you posted on the asking price of this little beauty :D

This one is a minger!

Says in the blurb 'Ideal disabled person'. Does this mean you get a disabled person with the purchase? I'm going to assume they mean it's ideal for a disabled person, and I'm guess they mean someone who is sight impaired!

Sorry, tried to find a more recent thread in which to stick this eyesore, but failed.

truly awful - i didn't even look at the price, can't imagine why anyone would want that at any price.... unless they throw in an 18 foot periscope so you can enjoy the view

Of the railway line? That's the usual reason for that sort of windowless construction.

FPMSL, my parents live on another part of that estate.

Why the ****** they show the side with no windows, I don't know. The fronts (of that house design) have 6 nice big windows:

Not exactly pretty but these are 1960s(?) council houses. What do you expect?

different design and not so ugly but iirc smaller:

Edit: to tidy up.

There is actually a local train line within reasonable distance but if you check on the map page its not that close.

I'd want the periscope to have a rose tinted filter, and the seller to throw in a lifetime supply of psychotropic substances to live there.
