making weird statements like 'I love immigrants' is a bit of a giveaway

and now the psychology bit........Like it or not, humans instinctively prefer their own type, so if a Brit says he prefers the chinese to Brits then he is either kidding himself or lying.

Racism/Xenophobia don't come into it. This doesn't mean you can't like other races (even equally) but to prefer them to your own is flying in the face of evolution.

Racist!

i'm a yorkshire person naturalised in London .

Yep, big and small buisness is well keen to get even more cheap labour, they as usual are talking crap to the government, there is no skills shortage, there is however a shortage of good will on the part of employers to train and enhance existing skills, there is also a reluctance to pay a living wage at the bottom end of the market, What they are realy after is this vast pool of desperate workers who will do anything for bugger all pay and crap conditions. Another point to consider is that the government will like this cause it will keep some sort of pressure on house prices, no, the new immigrants wont be buying flats and houses but they will be renting, maybe 6 to a flat but imagine adding another 300k immigrants from EE to the last intake and theres huge letting potential, Buisness wont be happy until the UK is a 3rd world cess pitt crawling with beggars. The other bit of crap to contend with is that even if the conservitaves get in next time they will follow the same line.

Whilst business takes on low paid workers, the Natives pay higher taxes to subsidise those workers in the form of Tax Credits, and Benefits.

So as a Taxpayer, and someone competing in the Jobs market, (Sick of hearing people being told if you dont like it F'ck off there are people waiting outside who will do it cheaper) I am against immigration on the scale we see it today.

As a taxpayer and someone who works for a living it is not in my interest for this country to be flooded with immigrants, it costs jobs, and it costs wages, and it costs higher taxes, and it reduces the chances of any children I might have in the future of having a decent living standard.

If that is Racist, then so be it, in fact I am so angry about it just like many others in the UK that too am now prepared to not only vote BNP if nothing is done about it, but to bl00dy well become a fully paid up member.

This country sucks, if the Government wont sort it out, the people will.

Yup, could not agree more.

And you know what? This site is not supposed to be a 'socialist love in' - it is supposed to be about the ecomonics of the housing market.

Cuckoo has a cleaner. That does not make him/her bourgeoisie. It means however that he/her can AFFORD one. Which most of the people whining here about immigration cannot. Because they have rubbish jobs. Because they are dumb and act like victims all the time. In fact, they are the very people that will be out competed by immigrants. How ironic.

pond,for a fellow raver I thought you'd have a bit more "love" ....

you're generalising a lot, most of us here are well educated(which labour hate)

.........................debt free(which the banks hate)

....and being screwed over by benefit cheats.

I might have blown my brains out with class A's during the 90's but I still have a BEng 1st(hons) in electronic engineering, got at a time degrees actually meant something!

it's as much a matter of fashion as flares/drainpipes whether your chosen profession is in demand at the time.....for the last few years it's been the tradesmen......five years before it was the techies....the next 5?????......geologists/miners/defence engineers/surveillance???
