What effect will this have on HPC ? A lot of people will be worse off next year wil inflation above to 2% figure

He added that public sector pay awards would need to dip further than the 2006 average of 2.5% to continue to fight inflationary pressures, writing: "For the coming year, I have told every department to go further and found all pay settlements on achieving our 2% inflation target."
