"If Corsicans can't even afford a small plot of land to make their home, what would you do? Money is the root of all war. As long as no one is killed, then the struggle is OK."

Holiday Homers beware!

I lived in Corsica for 6 months about 20 years ago. They are fiercely nationalistic. There was a lot of trouble at the time between the nationalists and the French authorities. A lot of bombs going off and people getting shot. I actually witnessed a drive by shooting in a market in Bastia. 2 guys pulled up on a motorcycle and murdered a stallholder. A beautiful place to live no doubt, but I can foresee the locals becoming dangerously upset if they are priced out of their own property. They wont be anything like as tolerant as the people in Devon and Cornwall!!! Potential investors be warned!
