Is Tb Really A Tory?

Recommended Posts

Torys dumb down the masses in the 80's through their education policies

TB starts a Government of 'smoke and mirrors' (the masses by now are too thick to realise what's going on)

There is zero Tory opposition with some laughable opponents

The rich get richer and poor get poorer

It all makes sense now

Tony Blair becomes a Labour MP - IIRC he should really have been a Tory given his background

Tony Blair 'suddenly' becomes PM and starts a Government of 'smoke and mirrors' (the masses by now are too thick to realise what's going on)

It was Wilson who said the majority of decisions made by Gov't are the same whoever is in power (obviously that was pre-Thatcher though!)

It does seem we are under a virtual Tory leadership.. except perhaps they have adopted some workers rights type of legislation introduced by the EU so that's probably a good thing

On the other hand they may quote that they have spent massive sums on national health for example but often it's not properly targeted. Rather the money is spent on new equipment for example where it's not neccesarily needed - in order to meet a deadline so a minister can then quote how much they are investing in health!

Also we they seem to have allowed more & more to be going on Welfare for people coming into the country for example (but that's just a guess I haven't checked any stats)

Blair's economic policy is Thatcherism, or more correctly, Manchester Liberalism.

There used to be an anagram from the mid 1990s TONY BLAIR MP = I'M TORY PLAN B

TB is a political opportunist.

Apparently when he came to power one of his first visitors was Maggie - says it all really.

His handling of the Iraq crisis and the build up to the war (45 min WMD dosier) suggests that he is either a fool or a liar, very possibly both IMHO.

Apparently when he quits he will not sit on the back benches but will work in the US - speaks volumes regarding his self interest.

I once thought that those who seek high public office had the good of the electorate at their heart - I was obviously very wrong!

After unfortunately being elected 3 times as a Labour prime minister it is clear that Blair is the Labour man. You may not like him Labour dudes, but it is Blair, Mandelson, Blunket and Reid that are the face of the Labour party. Enjoy!

A vote for Labour is a vote for war abroad and oppression within this country.

I'm not sure that even the Tory's under Thatcher would have tried many of the regressive policies that Tony and co have. University fees ? Massive increases in indirect taxation ? Even more sleeze involving corporate corruption of our political system than even the Major Govt managed.

Tony appears to me to have no principles. A member of CND when that was in his interests, now wants to buy nukes at vast expense well after the cold war has ended.

Tony looks after no. 1, and of course Dubya. I seriously wonder if Dubya has something over Blair - he seems incapable or unwilling to pursue a pro British line with the US when there are conflicting interests (ie. steel tariffs). Blair is more loyal to Bush than most of the Republican party. Odd for a British Prime Minister.

A one world order globalisation devotee Blair is a dangerous man - his disasterous foreign policy moves with Bush make us a bigger target for terrorists than ever before. Their efforts in Iraq and the Middle East are doomed to fail - they simply don't understand the cultural and religious issues they are dealing with.

Thousands dead and billions spent - for what ?

not sure its that odd. thatcher was as pro-american as blair is - arguably more so.
