Bank Motors Steadily To 5% Interest Rate

Recommended Posts

The Inflation Report analysis clearly makes a further rise in rates, to 5 per cent, odds-on, if not a racing certainty. The move could come as soon as November.

Many of us are still amazed that they got it so completely wrong.

Now they're saying a rate rise by November.

My thoughts on this:

Rates are rising very quickly now, actually I'd say the fastest in over 5 years.

If things keep moving like this we will have a rate rise well before November.

And don't be surprised to see the media talking about a 50bp hike.

No surprise here . America started to raise rates 18 months ago we are only trying now when we should have started to raise a long time ago. Now there will have to be strong medicine for big headaches on the way. Ah the old ones are the best.

Good article BW. I am a bit confused by the statement above though. Rates have risen by 0.25% in the last year to return to exactly where they were two years ago. Do you mean inflation ?
