Press Interpret Inflation Report As Hawkish

A sea chnage in sentiment over the last couple of weeks. As house prices are just opinion (according to Merv) it will be opinion that will drive them down to sane levels. Opinion, that is, coupled with a few others triggers such as debt, unemployment, affordability stretched too far due to meteroric rises is fuel bills and council tax and that old favourite, IR. :)

The barometer certainly seems to have swung to bearish for now. It is still silly season though. It will be interesting to see how sentiment looks after St Legers dat (sp?) once the "big boys" return to their desks.
