Well, a bit. Page 2 has a quarter page article on the increase in bankruptcies, but what I liked the most was they chose to finish with the quote from a former PM (only browsed it in the shop so can't remember who - I drew the line at buying the paper!)

"An economy living off borrowed money is on borrowed time".

No more "Houses to double in price next year" stuff then? They might have embarassed themselves are will no doubt start trying to sell more papers with HPC horror stories like "I have to work the streets to pay my council taxes" etc.

BTW, the word is that council taxes are all going up 5% or to the maximum government cap again.

On Friday the reporting of the rate rise was placed next to an article with a headline about the housing boom set to pick up pace.
