This can only mean one thing: WAR! Get ready over the next few weeks for the same lies we got prior to the Iraq War. BTW, whatever happened to Anthrax? Haven't heard much about it lately in the media - has it been dis-invented? Why is Bliar talking to Rupert Murdoch?........maybe he wants the press on his side over the next couple of months.....

Indeed, but bliar is on his way out.A smooth transition of power to someone equally slimy is called for,but will gordon fall for it???

...maybe we're in for a re-run of the thatcher/major handover.

...someone like alan milburn would be innofensive(and naive enough to take the poisoned chalice), enough to win against GB but incompetent enough to see out the economic cycle(just like major 1992-97)

Laurel and Hardy, Pinky and Perky, The Krankies. What do you think when the two war mongers walk out to meet the press in the White House.

Bush, walking bow legged, thinks he is John Wayne about to jump on a horse. Bliar, with his head upright and chest puffed out looks even more ridiculous. Oh to bring back Spitting Image, so we can laugh at these two idiots both now, and in years to come.

Don't forget Gordon "Miracle Economy" Brown, the Ayatollahs and especially the war monger of all war mongers Bin Laden with his air of holiness, big beard and death threats to all nations outside Islam! Can you imagine the extremist backlash at parodying a prophet? Especially if you put a bomb in his titfer. I would also include Bob Mugabe with his despotic rule in Zimbabwe as he has the perfect face for Spitting Image--buying a loaf of bread with a wheelbarrow full of his currency. Then there is Ivan Illyich Putin of the All Russias--his small face wouold make a great Spitting Image. A parody on turning off the gas to Europe would be a funny skit because he needs extra supplies to give the Chechynians a good night's sleep. Then there is always Sadam and his two sons tickling people to death in the torture Palaces of Baghdad. There are a lot of fine political leaders that could be used to good effect.

IMO, the best of all time was Keef when Mick kept refusing to listen to him because he was dead.

Realist Excellent!

Recently ITV presented the Best of Spitting Image. Time and again it was mentioned that the ordinary public and especially the youth of this country, learnt more about politics from that show than any other medium. Who can forget the Thatcher sketch when ordering the vegetables or the two David's, Steele and Owen.

A similar show nowadays would definiely be a hit. In the sixties the first show to cut through the crap of defference to the political classes was TW3-That Was The Week That Was. Even nowadays some of those earlier shows seem astonishing in their cutting edge and cynicism.

Why on earth in this day and age with so much information and lnowledge the best the TV companies can come up with is reality type rubbish? The only programme that is worth watching that is politically aware is Rory Bremner on Channel 4.

Are TV executives completely stupid or just too lazy to commission a new political comedy show?

Fact is, we are already at war, WW 4. As always, the wars are economically/resource driven and just as sure as Cambodia/Vietnam was the US/USSR slugging it out via proxy, so is this latest tete-a-tete between Israel and Hezbollah/Hamas the US slugging it out with Iran.

Tony goes to the white house.

I can picture it now:

Blair

- "Hello George".

Bush

-"Yo Blair"!!

Blair

-"Don't you think we should talk to Israel? They seem to killing quite alot of Lebanese People".

Bush

-"Ah, let em' burn"!

Blair

-"Um, ok George".
