Mind you a family home for £101,000

they would want about £170,00 round my way for that.. chances are £200,000...

Devon is really going to collapse very badly.

They had to put up with a nasty smell of dog and cat urine for four months after moving in as well - that's why it was so cheap as the previous owners had left the place in a right state!

The fact they paid FULL ASKING price for a shithole amazed me. And when they were scared the seller would pull out???? (Proof of being ******WITS) They were advised that they COULD get a briging loan to pay a deposit to make the sellers feel better. Buy at lall costs attitude. Absolute NEGLIGENCE!!!!

They did a great job from what I saw while channel hopping.

Another kick in the teeth for bears. This will again inspire those with some DIY skills and the desire to own their own place. There are still bargains out there, bargains that even the bearish among you would find it difficult to turn down. You've just got to look further than hpc.

The bloke presenting it didn't seem to know very much though. He estimated £500 to plaster the whole house. I suspect the guy who bought the house knew it would be far more than that so he did it himself. Could be a good program, next week could be interesting.

I don't know how you can actually sit through these programs. I think my girlfriend would leave me if she had to put up with any more of my behaviour when this kind of program comes on.

Anyhow, I get to see it for real with some of my (actually more intelligent) friends buying for real. Unbeleivable - they get to 'own' a terraced shoebox in an area known as the 'battle fields', where as I pay less than there I/O mortgage to live in a 3 storey georgian house next to the park with a garden the size of a tennis court! No brainer really!
