A self-fulfilling prophesy?

During the same period:

1. Oil will be $7000 per barrel.

2. Estate agent jobs will have been decimated by the crash and all sectioned because they are a snivelling bunch of twa*s. Their heads will be shaved and they will have the words "I am a pathetic cu*t" tattoed across their deceptively spacious foreheads.

3. Wage inflation will be running at 4000%.

4. England will be able to take penalty shoot-outs.

5. The world will be at peace.

Why would they have 'I am a pathetic cult' tattoed across their bonces?

On the other hand, it is clear that the average person in 10 years time will be able to afford 500k for a 3 bed semi - so I suppose that prediction will come true.

Quite obvious really; because there will be a dire shortage of n's in 10 years.

Or to put it another way , your'e only going to get 4.7%hpi/year for the next 15 years. Same as cash then accept for all the associated cost of course.

Absolute Rubbish...

Doubled once in the last 5 - 6 years, then double again in the next ten?... What kind of forecast tools are they using ?

No way !

There was no tool used as far as I could see, it just seemed to be the whim of the estate agent. Lets hope theyre spectacularly wrong.

Not good news if you work in the public sector with Gordon putting a maximum 2% wage increase for the next few years.

So they doubled over the last 5-6 years due to a reckless inflation of the money supply as money became cheap as chips.

So what's the reason over the next ten years? Widespread acceptance of 100 year mortgages? No pain bankrupcies where you can borrow a squillion the day after?

House prices will double in the next ten years. But first they'll have to drop. In some cases thoses drops will be 50% (wrong property, in the wrong location, bought for the wrong price at the wrong time). In effect many properties will be selling at similar prices as today in a decade.

even if they do double. you would still have to sit in your tiny house and work and sweat for it.

then dissapear to spain with saved cash.

leaving uk to its own devices. pensions roberry. nhs bills. nimbys. hoodies. poor social bonds. grabbing culture.
