Actually all my mucking about aside, this is of course the news of the day.

We might be at a turning point in the Middle East - biblical conflict, or a realisation that it never needs to be that bad again and a pulling back.

And as Newsnight pointed out, where is the UK Envoy to the Middle East in the midst of this crisis?
