Apom Requests More Outrage.

Recommended Posts

When you request 'more outrage' - is this to supplement some outrage that has already occurred? I get the feeling people here are sanguine about the property market and are happily waiting for things to play out and turn in their direction.

Personally, I think a bit of outrage would be a good idea.

Outrage not at the house prices.

We share our society with people prepared to borrow hideous amounts against a 200-300% inflationary asset that had only collapsed three times previously..

That is why we can't afford property.. Because idiots want to pay more.

Outrage at the press who look at the undeniably failing market and lie

So, the latest LR figures, as gathered by the former ODPM and reported by the BBC, are not what you want to hear, so it's bad reporting? The BBC are "lying" about the ODPM report are they?

A couple of days before reporting a modest rise in LR figures, the BBC reported a modest fall in prices as reported by a building society. No complaint?

The bbc makes an article

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/business/5164426.stm

based on these figures:

http://www.mjdazeley.com/ODPM_581.html

and you may want to re-read the article.

BBC, I wouldn't wee on any of them if they were on fire.

If they were not on fire I would be very tempted.

I hope that this is sloppy reporting and not something more nefarious...

The complaint is the way that they phrase the figures.

Reading the article as gospel and there is no way you would detect any indication that prices are falling across much of the country.

That is not reporting the figures, that is trying to sway opinion.

And there should lie outrage.

House Prices are after all only a matter of opinion.

They are dropping now, extensively..

And that is whilst the man on the street considers them to be rising.

What would happen if the article had said.

"Although much of the country is still showing rising house prices many areas have now been showing falls for a significant period."

That would have been accurate.

Press are lying all the time! My jaw dropped last night.

At the risk of being off topic...

Watching last nights program about the 7/7 bombings.

The KLA invasion force was mentioned to have been infliltrated by Al-Queada and that british citizans where flying over to help the cause...

Well thats completley different to what the press/ americans said to the Macedonian government (post 9-11) when the KLA crossed over the border from Kosovo in to a sovereign country... "no no no... don't dare fight them.. they are not terrorists, they are freedom fighters"

My mind further boggles when I found out that america has been carrying

out renditions in macedonia and extraditing suspected Al-Queada terrorists!!!!
