Ministers have ordered an urgent review of John Prescott's home sellers pack project after being told its introduction could trigger an economic crisis for Gordon Brown.


The Government is under mounting pressure to scrap the idea amid fears that it could precipitate a slump in the housing market and leave the Treasury with a £5.6 billion revenue shortfall.
