Ntl To Cut 6,000 Jobs Following Merger

Of the 6,000, I wonder how many are going to find it difficlut to pay off mortgages, credit cards and council taxes? No problems if they are with RBS :lol:

Old hat or not, it is an indication that the services sector is not immune to the downturn in the cycle. The VIs are losing one of their main arguments that HPI can continue for ever, "Strong employment growth."

GM announced at drop in sales of over 25% in June which may begin to impact their worldwide employment numbers. There is merger talk with Nissan-Renault which could lead to further "consolidation" in jobs for the UK which is their least profitable manufacturing base. High house prices must mean high wages and the price is lost jobs to overseas:
