Provable Examples Of Yoy House Price Increases

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have any provable specific examples (Land Registry) of YOY house price increases in Wealden?

If not I will happily continue as an STR renting a million pound country house for one third of what it would cost me to finance on a mortgage, subsidized by the equity from my previously sold house growing at 5% per annum. So in real terms it costs me about £500 per month in rent.

I must stress I respect both bulls and bears with regards their opinion, however I am just making my decisions on what I have seen in Wealdon, East Sussex, over the last 2 years: moderate falls in house prices. In fact 2 estate agents tell me that my local town in Wealdon saw a fall in house prices of 8 to 10 % last year. I am 1 hour from London Bridge by train so no sign of city bonuses boosting prices here.

With evidence from the home.co.uk index showing an annual decline in asking prices in the south of England, again I see no reason to buy at the moment.
