Ongoing Mates Mum Anecdotal

Recommended Posts

as you might know. my mates mum has been in the property game ages. she bought her ex la semi for about 45k late 90s.

been trying to sell since 2003 for (ahem) £140k with no viewings. - dropped to 120k in 2005 with one offer then a classic pull out.

now my mates decided to buy his old house off his mum, but since hes a lame ass he cant get a mortgage, so hes agreed to rent it off her while he builds up a (job). ive known this guy for 20 years. hes the laziest person i know. this could be fun. meanwhile his mum and dad are off to some portacabin retirement caravan site, with they hope a soon coming £120k cash bounty.

and the other good news is that his mum is leaving all her tat behind, so she can come and go as she pleases. he even gets to keep the tiger print central portrait and the built in stone clad drinks bar. all roads lead to rome on this un'. i mean. the guy barely runs a £200 renault cleo with a busted bonnet and passenger side rear light out. i told him 4 months ago it was out, but as i said - hes very very lazy. he smokes too much rocky. wears slippers and drinks 2x bottles of red wine per weeknight. he likes to watch big brothers big mouth and not much else. but what the heck. hes agreed to take on a '120k' property for 25yrs. not to mention its his old house. ??

ill keep you posted as the family breakdown happens.

A disappointed porn ghoul writes...

the tiger print central portrait and the built in stone clad drinks bar

How could it fail to sell with features like that? The market's gone mad. Mad I tells ya.

(And there's nothing sick about MILF stories Fred, good ones anyway, so if you should happen to know any.....)

I have 100% confidence in him! It seems it's only hard-working, non-smoking, barely drinking, financially careful folk like me that can't find a way onto the ladder

Isn't there some sort of Murphy's Law that says only this type of guy always wins £7 million plus on The National Lottery?

Has he, you know, nailed the mum yet?

Of course he has. Which is the reason he forgot about this thread.

He's still about... hoping maybe if we keep this high he might spot it... I don't like to go PMing people about nothing so won't take that route.

I want to know about the Clio. Has it got through the last two MoTs with that bonnet. I suppose it would if the catch was ok but it would already have been under strain.

this is an old thread.

end story was:

they couldnt get the mortgage together after asking evreyone they could think of to lend them 8 grand !! no one dared.

so they abandoned ship and got a rental, and his mum was forced to sell the mobile home, move back to the house which she sold and rented it back off one of those dodgy companies.

they got 90k, but most was taken up with debts racked up the previous year, they are back in the house renting.

more or less skint.

my mate in his wisdom rented another house they couldnt afford and are currently struggling.

-there was no nailing. sorry.
